I knew the name of this piece before I even painted it, which never happens. This is a scene from the beautiful Red Rocks of Nevada. We hiked as the sun was trying to peek through the clouds. When I close my eyes, I can still see the deep autumnal oranges, and dark rock formations in the distance. It was a magical experience.
