The Elaine is a bit reminiscent of the yin/yang symbol, where opposite forces are both interconnected...and interdependent.  The swirls of deep purples with hints of black, burnt orange teal and beige are interconnected with a deep chartreuse diagonal center.

Elaine is my aunt, and like the yin/yang symbol, she has two different sides, that beautifully come together.  In her career as a statistician, she deals with exact numbers and formulas.  As a painter, she beautifully expresses her creative side.  She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother (to Mia and Theo), mother in law to Aurelie and Margaret.  Elaine has a gift of bringing the entire family together.

Elaine's charity is The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which helps us defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that our Constitution and laws guarantee everyone in the United States.
