I purchased a large old antique pine planting tray at an antiques shop, and I could not wait to create art on it. I turned on Pandora, and listened until something inspired me. And on came Van Morrison. As I painted, the rough wood grain persistently popped through the art. It felt organic, like the wood and the paint were guiding me. The nature of the wood allowing the paint to stay where it wanted it to. When you stare at this piece, you almost feel like you are transported to a place where the beauty of the sea surrounds you, you are one with nature.
